This month we are praying for our women, (mothers, grandmothers, daughters and leaders).
Women are lovingly created by God, with wonderful gifts and abilities to be a blessing to society and bring glory to God. Women have a womb, both spiritually and naturally and are able to birth new life. God has equipped them to create environments that nurture, comfort, inspire and empower. Women have the gift of communication and influence, that can be used for good or evil.
Proverbs 14.1 says “A wise woman builds her house; a foolish woman tears it down with her own hands”. When women possess the wisdom of God, (which scripture tells us in James 3.17 “is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, sincere, without partiality and without hypocrisy) and apply it to everything they do, they become a priceless treasure in their households, in their communities and Nation.
Proverbs 31 says “An excellent woman, who can find? Her value is more precious than jewels and her worth is far above rubies or pearls.”
James 1.5 says “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.”
PRAYER
Lord we bring our women before You.
We ask that Your hand of favour and protection be upon them.
May they seek You with their whole heart, leaning not on their own understanding, but acknowledging You, in all of their ways!
May Your wisdom, enable them to walk in the way of righteousness and along the paths of justice.
Bless them with sound judgment and insight, and the virtue to live it out.
May heavenly wisdom, bestow upon them a rich inheritance and make their treasuries full.
Let their conversation be full of grace, seasoned with salt, knowing how to answer everyone.
Put a guard, oh Lord before their mouths and keep watch over the door of their lips.
May they speak with wisdom, and may faithful instruction be on their tongues.
Clothe them with strength and dignity. Prepare them in heart and mind, to act swiftly and fearlessly, when called upon for Your Kingdom! Give them the treasures of the darkness and riches stored in secret places. May Your daughters arise as mothers in our Nation, nurturers and encouragers of the people. Work through them HOLY SPIRIT, to bring forth life and beauty and the joy of Your Kingdom to this Nation. In the name of Jesus our Lord we pray!
