Amid all the rush leading up to Christmas, let’s make time to reflect on the greatest gift ever given! A gift so marvellous and its impact so profound, that human language is insufficient to fully capture its magnitude. Unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given. (Is 9.6). The mystery that was kept hidden for ages and generations, God has chosen to make it known to us, the glorious riches of the mystery, which is Christ in us, the hope of Glory. (Col 1.27). May we passionately lay hold of THE GIFT and receive it with childlike faith. Merry Christmas Church family and Happy New Year!
2026 is a year to expand, increase, prosper and flourish.
Let’s make it a year of thriving in Christ, not just surviving life. God’s good plans and limitless provision have been made clear to us through scripture. Our Heavenly Father held nothing back when He gave us His beloved son, it’s our thinking and our expectations that must be renewed.
Psalm 92:12-14: “The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God. They will still bear fruit in old age; they will stay fresh and green…”
6 KEYS TO THRIVING IN 2026
T – TRUST in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding, in all ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths. (Proverbs 3.5-6)
H – HOLD FAST to the confession of your faith, hold fast to the promises of God, that are yes and amen in Christ. Hold fast to the hope of His calling (Eph 1.18). Hope is an anchor for your soul. (Hebrews 6.19)
R- RECEIVE WITH JOY the fullness of Christ, in Him is: Every spiritual blessing, every good and perfect gift, the blessings of Abraham, everything you need for every good work, an inheritance that can never spoil, perish or fade. Receive with joy the infilling of the Holy Spirit: Your helper, comforter, teacher, encourager and counsellor.
I – IN EVERYTHING GIVE THANKS, this is God’s will for you. (1Thes 5.18). Gratitude keeps the soil of your heart watered; it guards against bitterness, hopelessness and discouragement.
V – VALIANT “Be strong and courageous, do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord thy God is with you, wherever you go.” (Joshua1.9).
E – ENLARGE the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back, lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes, and drive your stakes in deep. Isaiah 54.2. Expand your capacity, make room for the Spirit of God to move, enlarge your vision, make plans to advance, establish deeper and firmer foundations of truth and faith.
